A puppy was stolen from a Flatlands dog store Monday evening, according to the store's owner.
Video footage caught a couple sitting and playing with a dog at Puppy Paradise along Flatbush Avenue.
David Dietz, the owner of the business that has been around for 42 years, says the couple was overheard discussing whether or not to steal the dog.
About five minutes later, they walked out with Covina, a 4-week-old full-bred Yorkie.
"All we want is the return of the dog and I won't prosecute you," Dietz says. "If we don't get the dog and we find ya, we're going to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law."
He says that Covina's life is in jeopardy if she isn't cared for correctly because of how young she is.
