The NYPD released surveillance video of the Monday robbery incident involving a car that was stolen with a 2-year-old child in it.
Police say the 43-year-old man got out of his 2020 Toyota Highlander while it was still running in front of 3969 Bronxwood Ave. Then, the suspect exits the rear driver side passenger seat of a gold 2018 Honda Accord and entered the victim's vehicle.
The suspect drove off in the victim’s vehicle with the victim's 2-year-old granddaughter in the rear seat. The suspect abandoned the car and the child near the intersection of Edson Avenue and East Gun Hill Road and fled.
The 2-year-old was not injured, but was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi for evaluation.
