Tenants at a Wakefield apartment building say they are still dealing with the aftermath of heavy rain that flooded their building nearly two weeks ago.
On Aug. 6, a relentless surge of water flooded the building on East 228th Street from the roof down to the first floor.
Tenants say their apartments suffered from water damage as they swept the floodwaters out of the building.
Two weeks later, one tenant says a water bubble busted in her closet, damaging clothes and other items after another round of heavy rain hit the Bronx on Sunday.
Another tenant on the third floor says her door warped from the water and now she is having problems opening and closing her door.
The tenants say this is just a few of many problems they have been living with, and they have not received any notice from their landlord on when repairs will be made.
News 12 reached out to the building management, but has not yet gotten a response.
