Watertown police: Death of man found near nature trail deemed 'suspicious'

Watertown Police say the death of a man in the dirt parking area of the Echo Lake conservation trail appears suspicious in nature.

Watertown Police say the death of a man in the dirt parking area of the Echo Lake conservation trail appears suspicious in nature.
They say they received a call just before 8 a.m. Saturday from a driver who saw an unresponsive male near the trail.
First responders found the unidentified man dead.
The department's Detective Bureau is investigating with help from the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad.
Ice House Road will be closed from Saco Street to Echo Lake Road until further notice and drivers are asked to seek alternative routes.
