A new Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant celebrated its grand opening last month after being delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
“We're here for the people, we're here to serve our community. I'm from the Morris Park community. We brought something that the neighborhood doesn't have, a little bit of everything,” said owner Sal Alghathi.
Alghathi says he is happy to bring something new to Morris Park Avenue.
"You get good food, fresh food, cut right in front of you, cooked right in front of you… We have a salad bar, a juice bar,” said Alghathi.
He says they pride themselves on their fresh, healthy and quick made-to-order meals. He says he has been in the neighborhood for 30 years and owns a deli right down the block.
Alghathi says he wants to give back to the community that has supported him. "Our main goal is to create jobs… Try to bring more people from the community to work,” said Alghathi.
Alghathi says he won’t open for indoor dining until they can be at 100% capacity. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
