Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says a round of steady rain is expected to pass through the city tonight, delivering about .75 - 1" of rainfall and tapering slowly between 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The overnight conditions will be absolutely beautiful as the sky clears.
The midweek is gorgeous with highs in the mid-70s under a sunny fall sky. The next big weather system seemingly threatens the NYC area by the weekend. A possible subtropical storm may form over the southeast coast, moving up toward NYC by Saturday, delivering heavy tropical rain into Sunday and Monday. This will be worked out through this week.
Tonight: A chilly breeze under a partially clearing sky. Lows from the mid- to upper-50s.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs from the low- to mid-70s.
Wednesday: Sunny and mild. Highs around the mid-70s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs from the low- to mid-70s.
Friday: Increasing clouds with highs from the low- to mid-70s.
