Weekend storm causes flooding across several Manhattan subway stations

While Monday afternoon brought sunny skies, this was not the case just hours earlier when storms swept through the tri-state area, wreaking havoc for drivers and majorly impacting flights as well.
In Manhattan, subway commuters felt the impacts of those storms causing flooding on subway platforms, too.
Videos posted to Instagram during peak hours of the storm from inside the 157th Street and Broadway subway station show riders stepping through puddles as water spewed out of walls surrounding the platform. In another video shot from inside the 34th Street Penn Station subway, tons of water is seen spewing out from underground on the platform.
Major New York City hot spots, like Chelsea Market, experienced major leaks and flooding, as well.
Central Park alone experienced nearly 3 inches of heavy rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
The MTA tells News 12 New York that despite the flooding, puddling, and pooling, water conditions were cleared and subway service around the city has not been affected.
Storms have dissipated and all flash flood warnings have been lifted around New York City.
