Levain Bakery celebrated its grand opening in Williamsburg on Wednesday.
The shop sells cakes, cookies, bread and more. Staff says the process of opening the bakery was slowed down because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In celebration of the grand opening, staff says they’re giving back to the community by donating all of the money made on Wednesday to the North Brooklyn Angels.
It is an organization that fights hunger and homelessness.
Now that the shop is finally open, staff says they have made changes to their day-to-day workflow in hopes of slowing the spread.
Social distancing markers are visible on the ground and face masks are required for staff and customers.
