Westchester County is launching a new tourism campaign and it's highlighting White Plains as its first destination.
The "Go Beyond Without Going Far" campaign will feature places locally or in the tri-state and offer some options for a "stay-cation."
Municipalities participating in the county campaign will get featured on the Westchester tourism website with itineraries and suggestions on fun things to do and places to stay or eat.
Filling out an itinerary in White Plains can get a $100 dining credit from some of the participating restaurants. Suggestions on activities range from getting dance lessons to a pasta-making class.
The county will help push out the message with hopes it will bring more people and money into Westchester communities.
