A Stamford teen whose body was found in New Canaan on Tuesday is being remembered for his caring heart that touched every person he met. Police say Santos Eujedo Perez, an incoming senior at Westhill High School in Stamford, was found dead in a wooded area near a home that was under renovation in New Canaan.
The teen had just begun working a summer job at the site, officials say. Police say there is no evidence of foul play. "The reaction and response from our school community was such that it was very apparent to me that he was beloved." said Westhill High School Principal Mike Rinaldi. A GoFundMe set up to help with funeral expenses quickly exceeded its $8,000 goal, which Rinaldi says "highlights the enormously positive impact" the teen had on everybody who knew him. School officials said Santos was 19 years old. A cause of death has not been released.
