WHAT TO KNOW:

A big and lasting warm-up is on the way--- with scorching temperatures combining with gross levels of humidity.

We have one more day where things are alright temperature-wise, but we could see showers and storms starting on Wednesday.

Temperatures will soar into the high 80s and low 90s starting on Thursday, with humidity making it feel even worse. There is a heat advisory in effect for Thursday for dangerous levels of heat and humidity. Have a plan for how to find AC and take breaks from the heat.

Wednesday could have spotty showers and storms throughout the day. Thursday has the potential to have isolated severe weather as a nasty line of thunderstorms rolls through the borough, potentially bringing strong gusts, small hail, downpours, and lightning.
