DRYING OUT

Storms have cleared out as of Sunday afternoon. Long Island picked up a few inches in some spots before rain moved out.

MONDAY: GLOOMY START, THEN NICE

Showers are expected on Monday morning, with mostly cloudy skies. This clears out before noon and the rest of the day will be sunny and breezy with temperatures in the mid-70s.

PLEASANT STRETCH AHEAD

Cooler and drier weather from Canada will push in on Tuesday and Wednesday to bring ample sunshine and afternoon temperatures in the low to mid-70s. Wednesday and Thursday morning will be chilly, in the 50s.

Humidity and warmer temperatures return for Thursday and Friday, with a stray shower. Next weekend looks dry and pleasant, with the coolest and driest air in months possible at the end of the 10-day forecast.
