A Park Slope bar and restaurant offers a south of France flair to its location.
Just as the state went on pause last year, Alexandra Charpentier got her liquor license for her dream business, Winemak'Her.
She says her bar highlights women winemakers and serves French cuisine.
Charpentier says she didn't expect the business to be French-focused, but customers say it's that ambience that keep them coming back.
Customer Patricia Wedding says the restaurant is like taking a trip to a different country.
"Very European feel without your passport," Wedding says. "I haven't gotten a chance to travel, so this is how I travel. I travel through my food."
Although it's been a trying year as a new business, Charpentier says she's excited to celebrate the one-year anniversary of opening on Saturday.
