Every kid's dream came true in the Bronx on Friday -- free happy meals!
This comes after a woman anonymously donated $1,000 with a special request and that was to feed the community. Families entered the Westchester location and were visibly seen with smiles and excitement as they sat down and enjoyed their complimentary meals.
However, the Westchester Avenue location is not the only McDonald's location that residents could take part in the giveaway from.
Owner and operator of the Westchester Avenue location, Tony Rodriguez matched the donation and offered free happy meals to children in his nine other restaurants located throughout the Bronx.
"So, that's what we're doing," said Joseph Guerriera, McDonald's Director of Operations. "So in his other nine locations in the Bronx we're giving out happy meals there too."
Those locations include:
1515 Williamsbridge Road
599 E Tremont Ave
1600 Bruckner Blvd
51-67 161 St
85 Bruckner Blvd
2505 Southern Blvd
875 Garrison Avenue
1625 Webster Avenue
597-99 Grand Concourse
