A woman has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in Morris Heights on Sunday.

It was originally reported that Denise Aponte, 59, was arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Randy Blanche.

In new information gathered from a court arraignment, the District Attorney's Office says that Aponte acted in consult with her husband, Marcos Rodriguez.

There daughters were engaged in an argument with five others. Shoving broke out, and that’s when prosecution says Aponte told her husband to go down there with a weapon.

Prosecution also stated video captured the moment the shooting happened.

Aponte’s lawyer, Jason Gazewood told News 12 there was a phone call, but there was no mention of a weapon during said call.

They say Rodriguez then shot Blanche in the head three times in front of a building on West 174th Street. He was pronounced dead at Bronx Care Hospital.

Aponte faces 25 years to life and will be back in court on Nov. 26.

Video taken from the scene showed police arresting multiple individuals. There is no word on any other arrests.
