A woman was found fatally stabbed inside her Co-op City home Saturday afternoon, and police say they want to question her husband about the killing.
Sophia Lamb, 44, was found by her mother on the floor of her living room with multiple stab wounds.
Authorities say they are searching for her husband of two years. Lamb's family identified the man as Andre Curtis.
Family members say the two had a rocky relationship. The couple had been living with Lamb's mother on Baychester Avenue until about a month ago. They say she had recently asked him to leave the home and then changed the locks.
Family members told News 12 that he had recently been asking her to take him back.
They say they believe she was ambushed by her husband. Lamb's family says she had asked her husband to seek help multiple times before.
Police are asking Lamb's husband to come forward for questioning.
