A woman from Queens has been indicted for defrauding 10 people from the Bronx out of $73,000.
The woman, 54-year-old Windella Sanderson Wells, promised people she would improve their immigration status.
The investigation revealed that Wells allegedly targeted people from Guyanese, Jamaican and Haitian communities.
Wells now faces charges of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and more. She is due back in court on Nov. 1.
