Women of all ages traveled to Fordham University for the first-ever Love Your Hair Expo on Saturday.

Vendors, speakers and authors tried to teach the youngest girls how to love their hair. The event also taught people how to maintain their hair.

"We want to make sure to encourage others to love their natural hair, to learn how to take care of it, and to know how to use the right products so that they can feel empowered and beautiful rocking their natural hair," says Olga Baez, of Strive Higher.

Strive Higher and the Office of Multicultural Affairs partnered to put together the event.
