A Woodbury father is detailing the chaotic moments when his family was forced to flee their home following a fire on Easter Sunday.
Jay Oudit says he knew he had to get his family out of their home after they saw and smelled the smoke coming from the fire that originated at a neighboring flower store.
Oudit and his wife have a 7-month-old and 2-year-old twins.
"Everything happened so fast, it was very chaotic, you know the first thing was getting my family to safety," Outdit says.
He says amidst the chaos of their escape, a stranger came to help and carried out one of their twins.
"I don't know your name, I don't know who you are, but I want to say, 'Thank you so much for your help, you do not know how much I appreciate that," Outdit says. "Having three kids and we, at that moment, we needed all the help we could get, and you were an absolute lifesaver and I want to say thank you.'"

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support the family.
