The New York Yankees will swap their traditional pinstripe uniforms later this month for promotional-never-before-seen nickname jerseys, the MLB says.
The Yankees, along with the rest of Major League Baseball, will sport the jerseys between Aug. 25 and Aug. 27 during inaugural Players Weekend.
The team will be breaking a nearly centuries old tradition by wearing uniforms other than their traditional nameness pinstripes.
Players selected their own name for the back of their jersey.
Aaron Judge will wear 'All Rise' above his number 99, and Gary Sanchez will have ‘Kraken’ on the back of his jersey.
