A woman was hit by a Citi Bike NYC van early Monday morning in Clinton Hill.

Police tell News 12 the driver of the Citi Bike NYC van was making a righthand turn on to DeKalb Avenue from Clinton Avenue when he hit the woman as she was crossing the street.

The 911 calls came in around 6:10 a.m. that a woman was hit at the intersection of Clinton and DeKalb avenues.

Police say the victim is a 72-year-old woman, and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the van is 51 years old and stayed on scene.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Citi Bike tells News 12 “safety is fundamental to Citi Bike and our thoughts are with the pedestrian this morning. We stand ready to support any law-enforcement investigation.”

The investigation is ongoing.
