Bronx Excellence schools 3 and 5 have seats ready to fill with students for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Bronx Excellence 5 goes up to fifth grade, but next year it will be adding a sixth class to its roster. There are about 10 schools out of the Excellence Community schools that are located in the Bronx.

"Last year, our state exam results outperformed the district schools in our area, our third and fourth grade last year knocked English and math out of the park," says Bronx Excellence 5's school Principal Taylor Pescetti.

The schools also offer a Saturday Academy class where students can go get extra help for state exams.

Genesis Jimenez, a mother of two children, tells News 12 before enrolling her children at Bronx Excellence 5, her daughter was shy. She says now the faculty and staff have helped come out of her shell to become more outgoing and never want to miss a day of school.

Enrollment is now open for these schools and it's free. The only two locations with open seats are at 1946 Bathgate Ave. and in Wakefield at 3956 Carpenter Ave.
