FBI arrests Brooklyn man in Mount Vernon robbery, homicide

Authorities say the suspect killed an employee and fled to the Belmont section of the Bronx.

Authorities have arrested and charged a Brooklyn man in a robbery-turned homicide.
Police say Ryan Rivera robbed a smoke shop on March 19 in Mount Vernon. He killed an employee during the robbery and fled to the Belmont section of the Bronx, authorities say.
Police searched for Rivera overnight close to Fordham University. Rivera was arrested Tuesday by the FBI and is being charged with murder and conspiracy to distribute narcotics.
