3h agoA 77-year-old woman was killed in an East New York overnight car crash, police say.
The accident happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue and Bradford Street.
Police tell News 12 the woman, who was a passenger, lost her life in the crash, and the 41-year-old driver survived. Their car, a white Honda sedan, was hit by a grey BMW who police say ran a red light. The 29-year-old driver of the BMW was taken into police custody.
Both cars have extensive damage, leaving glass and car parts all over the street.
The investigation is ongoing.
