1 man killed, 2 injured in playground shooting
Police say one man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Soundview.
Officials say the shooting happened at around 1:30 a.m. at the Space Time Playground on the corner of Bolton and Lafayette avenues.
Police say 20-year-old Christian Garcia was shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a 17-year-old girl was shot in her backside.
Both were taken to the hospital, where they are in stable condition.
