Over a dozen formerly homeless veterans moved into their new homes at 655 Morris Ave. on Thursday.
The 16 lucky veterans were previously living in shelters but won a lottery out of thousands of people to move into a new affordable apartment.
There are over 100 units in the new building, and tenants will pay no more than 30 percent of their income.
Mayor Bill de Blasio was on hand to help them move in their boxes.
Veterans moving in also got some housewarming gifts, which included blankets and kitchenware.
Those who moved in said it was a "dream come true."
The rest of the 150 low-income tenants will be moving in over the next couple of months.
