2 charged in assault of woman at Bronx homeless shelter
Police say they have charged a second woman in connection with the assault of a resident at a Bronx homeless shelter.
They say Victoria Washington and her daughter, Tyhera Washington, turned themselves in at the 42nd Precinct Thursday night. Both women work at the Freeman Family Residences shelter.
Police say the pair has been charged with assault stemming from an alleged attack on a woman at the shelter earlier this week.
However, Victoria Washington claims she and her daughter were the ones who were attacked. The women say they are innocent and have turned themselves in because they've done nothing wrong.
