2 firefighters injured while battling blaze on Grand Concourse
Two firefighters were injured while responding to a fire on the Grand Concourse Wednesday.
It happened at 1212 Grand Concourse around 7 a.m. where neighbors reported seeing thick black smoke coming from the basement. 
Fire officials say it took them nearly an hour to extinguish the fire.
Everyone was able to escape the building, according to the FDNY, but two firefighters were injured while battling the blaze. 
The men were rushed to Lincoln Medical Center with minor injuries. 
Officials say they are expected to be OK.
