2 officers hospitalized after responding to domestic dispute
Two NYPD officers were hospitalized after investigators say they responded to a call for a domestic dispute on Boynton Avenue.
According to police, when officers arrived, a woman told them she was pushed to the ground by her stepfather and dragged by her hair. The victim's mother, Rosalie Colon, says the daughter first pushed her stepfather. She says police were called shortly after that.
When the officers went to talk with the stepfather, police say he locked himself inside a bedroom. Officers were able to get inside. That's when they say the suspect started to resist arrest, and Colon says she heard a stun gun being used multiple time on her husband, Joseph Laubriel.
Laubriel was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing government administration and assault.
The incident happened within the 43rd Precinct, which is where several days ago an officer was questioned and now under investigation for not using a stun gun during a possible arrest several days ago. That officer shot and killed a woman who came at him with bat.
