Two men accused of taking part in the brutal assault of a street vendor in the Hub appeared in court Tuesday.
As News 12 has reported, Souleymane Porgo suffered a fractured skull and other injuries when a group of five men pummeled him in a May 2 attack.
Part of it was caught on video. Police say the men attacked after Porgo stopped one of them from stealing a handbag from his street-side stand. He remains in the intensive care unit at Lincoln Hospital.
Enrique Foote, 18, and Octavious Profit, 24, are two of the three men police currently have in custody. William Burgess, 21, surrendered earlier last week. All three face charges of felony gang assault, assault and menacing. Two other suspects remain at large.
