29-year-old jogger slashed in the face in Van Cortlandt Park
A 29-year-old man was slashed while jogging in a Bronx park, according to police.
It happened Tuesday around 7:15 p.m. inside Van Cortlandt Park.
Police say the man was jogging on the Putnam Trail just south of Hudson and East Broadway when he was approached by two men. Police say one of the men punched and slashed the jogger in the face.
He suffered a laceration to the right side of his jaw, police say.
They say the other man who accompanied the suspect did not do anything.
Both men ran away, and no arrests have been made.
