Three people died in four separate fires across the Bronx Saturday.
The latest fire started around 7:45 p.m. at 934 E. 228th St.
FDNY officials say a 76-year-old man was found dead in the basement.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused that fire, but say it may have started from something left on a stove.
Earlier on Saturday, officials say a 60-year-old woman was killed and four others were injured by a fire in an apartment at 1354 Beach Ave. That fire sparked around 3 a.m.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire was electrical.
Three hours later, Carlos Villafane, 26, was found dead on the second floor of a burning apartment just blocks away, at 1795 Guion Place.
Officials are emphasizing the importance of making sure all residents have working smoke detectors with fresh batteries.
