5 suspected gang members appear in court
Five of the 15 suspected Lyman Place Gang members appeared in court Wednesday to face a number of charges.
Prosecutors say the Lyman Place Gang is known for using Facebook to devise plans of retaliation against other gangs. They say the group discussed buying and selling guns. Investigators say the alleged leader, Saliym Gresham, sent a message to his fellow members saying they were on a mission to kill.
Gresham, Juan Brown, Malcolm Fogle, Clyde McGraw, and Anthony Floyd were all charged with two counts of conspiracy in the fourth degree.
Another group of members will be formally indicted on Thursday.
