51-year-old man hit with stray bullet while playing dominoes on Sherman Avenue
Police are looking for two men in connection to a shooting that left an innocent bystander injured.
It all happened Thursday evening just before 8 p.m. outside of 952 Sherman Ave.
Joey "Chicky" Rivera says he and the victim, 51-year-old Richard Griggs, were playing dominoes when the shots rang out. He says he, Griggs and two others from the neighborhood were in the middle of the game when they heard two gunshots. One of those bullets hit Griggs in the back.
Police released video of the two men who were shooting at each other Thursday evening.
Rivera says playing dominoes is a routine game on the block, especially during the summer.
"We were having a good time, next thing you know shots rang out," says Rivera. "I put him on the ground, applied pressure to the wound, then the officers came."
Griggs has since been treated and released from a hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
