Community activists marched Thursday in the wake of a violent weekend in Allerton.
Four people were shot Saturday morning in the area of Radcliff Avenue and Williamsbridge Road. Two others were stabbed.
Jordan Frederick, a 25-year-old from Freeport, New York, was arrested and charged with four counts of second-degree attempted murder.
Concerned neighbors started rallying Thursday outside of the Bruxelles Lounge on Allerton Avenue, just down the street from where bullet casings were found Saturday morning. Eljon Parubi showed News 12 video of his staff clearing the streets after closing that night. He says he shouldn't be held responsible for an incident that was beyond his control.
The march against violence didn't blame him for the incident, but instead asked for the community to do better.
The lounge owner says he's fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
