Drivers can expect to be heavy on the brakes while traveling along the Pelham Parkway until construction is completed on another stretch of the roadway.
Crews are laying down concrete on the southbound side of the parkway near Eastchester Road. Officials say the work will be short-lived, lasting only the next two or three days, weather permitting.
Traffic will be reduced to just one lane on parts of Eastchester Road. There will also be restrictions to curbside parking.
The latest piece of construction is just one component of a larger improvement project that's expected to wrap up by the end of the year.
