Lead defense attorney Norm Pattis has filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Fotis Dulos.
Dulos was arrested Tuesday on charges of felony murder, murder and kidnapping in the disappearance of his estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos.

The motion says the state “blindly stacked charges” against Fotis Dulos without possessing the evidence necessary for them.
Pattis' motion cites a failure to indict Fotis Dulos by grand jury. But other legal experts tell News 12 that a grand jury indictment isn't necessary in Connecticut except for special circumstances.
Pattis also called the state’s treatment of Fotis Dulos “hasty and oppressive,” as well as a violation of his rights.
