Some Bronx parents and students are spending their Labor Day shopping for school supplies.

With school starting in just a few days for most, Baychester was packed Monday with kids looking to grab some last-minute school supplies.

Some students tell News 12 that school shopping helps set them up for success in the classroom.

"It gives me a better mindset of things," said Jenna Lopez. "It just gets me in the groove of things so I'm excited to go back."
