A Crown Heights resident has turned in her NYPD badge for face washes and moisturizers.
Former officer Jessica Walker now has her own skin care line and makes her products right out of her home.
The 27-year-old says being a police officer in the city just wasn't for her, so she started doing something she loves, which is making skin care products.

"After having my son I tried to find a way to get myself back. I was a size 4 and I'm a size 16 and I didn't feel as confident as I did before but that word baddie just gave me a feeling of empowerment," says Walker.

That's why she named her new line “Baddie Glow.”

"Baddie for the younger generation means the girl with the big butt, the hips, the weave, a list of that is not for a real woman in America; being a baddie is about having confidence, having self-love," says Walker.

She makes all kinds of skin care products from in her own home.

Walker says many of her products are even safe for people with eczema or dried skin.

"It's going to help you remove that dead skin that is on the outer most layer, it's also going to moisturize your skin,” says Walker.

Those who use Walker's products share before and after photos like these, saying her products have truly made a difference.
And as for Walker, she wants her line to do more than just physical healing, she's hoping to help people feel more comfortable in their own skin.

"Doesn't matter how you look, what your size is, it’s all about who you are having confidence and just persevering,” says Walker.
