The Bangladeshi community in the Bronx proudly put their culture on display Sunday while raising money for a special cause.
The American Bangladeshi Welfare Organization held a flea market in Parkchester to introduce the community to their customs, traditions, clothing and food.
Organizers used the event as an opportunity to raise money for flood victims of Bangladesh and to form a stronger bond between Bangladeshi-Americans in the Bronx and the rest of the community.
There's a hope that an increased peace will put an end to hate crimes against the Bangladeshi community.
