Basketball tournament honors Bronx mother killed by stray bullet
Community activists organized a basketball tournament Friday in honor of a Bronx mother who died after being struck by a stray bullet.
Antonio Hendrickson put the tournament together to have police and neighborhood kids unite and play basketball in memory of Jessica White, who died trying to protect her children.
White was guarding her kids last month when she was hit by the stray bullet.
At the tournament, the Lead by Example and Reverse the Trend Public Safety and Youth Development Organization pledged $900 to Jessica White's family to buy a tombstone for her.
White's killer is still on the loose. Police have been wanting to question a man in connection with the murder.
