Best of the Bronx: Bottled water for kids
Two young entrepreneurs from the Bronx are pouring their time into a bottled water business aimed at promoting health at an early age.
The 7-year-old Dowe twins say the Bronx is ranked last in the state in terms of healthiness among residents. So they founded Water 2 Kids to get their peers hydrating.
"Water is essential," says Francisco Marte, who owns the Green Earth Food Deli and Grocery in Norwood. "Not too much soda, not too much juice -- that's how we can help the community."
Marte stocks and sells the twins' water. He says he wants his store to be known as "the healthy bodega."
As for the twins, they say Water 2 Kids is just one of several successful projects they've planned throughout the borough.
