A city program is teaching kids from the Bronx how to enhance their musical talents while never missing a beat.
The Marching Cobras are part of a community program created to combat gang violence but also teach kids leadership, teamwork skills, as well as physical fitness.
Band director Terrel Stower says the program also creates opportunities to promote cooperation.
The program is part of Neon Arts and is made possible by the New York City Department of Probation and Carnegie Hall.
Some participants are on probation and are looking to set new goals while others are just teens exploring the arts and trying to pave the way for their peers.
The Cobras recently took a trip to London where they performed.
