Some Bronx residents are turning their big-screen dreams into reality with their film company.

Synchronized Productions' first short film, "Dinner Date," has already been recognized at festivals. The group credits their success to the Bronx.

"Dinner Date" explores love and loss through the lens of a first date. It was filmed in the Bronx.

The group won second place and best screenplay at Bronx Community College's 22nd Annual Film and Video Festival. They're headed to the United States Super 8 Film and Digital Film Festival in New Jersey later this month.

"Dinner Date" premieres on Feb. 20.
