Body of missing Bronx native found in Hudson
The body of a missing Bronx native who went missing in New Jersey over the weekend was pulled from the Hudson River Tuesday.
Police in Hoboken say 24-year-old Matt Genovese went missing after the weekend's snowstorm. They say he was last seen walking home from McSwiggan's Pub Saturday around 10:30 p.m.
Police say they found his wallet and keys near Pier A Monday night.
The NYPD assisted the Hoboken Police Department with the search Tuesday afternoon. Divers were able to recover Genovese's body just before 1 p.m.
Police say the body didn't appear to have any signs of trauma. They don't expect foul play.
Authorities are investigating the cause of Genovese's death.
