A young baseball fan is recovering after being hit in the head by a broken bat during Wednesday night's Yankees game.
The boy was sitting about seven rows back on the third base line when he was struck by the shard after Chris Carter's bat broke during the seventh inning.
The game was stopped for about two minutes while medics tended to the boy.
The incident is now renewing calls by lawmakers to extend protective netting at all major league stadiums.
