Bridge Park opens to the public
A new park is opening in the Bronx just in time for summer.
Bridge Park boasts great views of the Harlem River and amenities like benches, bike racks and new pedestrian and bike pathways.
It is also accessible to more people in the area.
The Parks Department says that the park was actually completed two years ago, but because of city construction on the bridge, it wasn't accessible.
Now, people can enter on 161st Street near Roberto Clemente State Park or drive in through the other side, which is Exterior Street.
It took roughly four years and millions of dollars of city and state funds to get the park up and running for the community.
