A Bronx cake company is proving life in quarantine can still be sweet.
Carmen Paulino, the owner of Bronx Cakes, is serving up delicious desserts with a side of humor.
"I think it all started out taking a look at some of the trends going on, and what was happening, and [I] was like, you know, this could be a fun cake or fun cookie,” says Paulino.
Paulino is on a roll between her toilet paper design inspired by the toilet paper shortage and her Cardi B coronavirus cake.
"People love them, they are just in awe of everything. With the Cardi B cake you can definitely hear her when you see the cake,” says Paulino.
She makes everything from scratch, from her mask masterpiece to a slice of Rosie the Riveter.

"One of my favorite cakes that I did was the Rosie cake; I did as a giveaway cake, it’s such an empowering image; it’s like you got this, you can do this."
She also makes cookies reminding New Yorkers to wash their hands.
The joy these sweets bring people is the icing on the cake for Paulino.
"You always have cake in celebrations and joyous occasions so that hasn’t changed its still the joy is still there that’s why I do what I do,” says Paulino.
