Bronx faith summit spreads hope for healthy lifestyle changes in least healthiest borough
Community leaders held the second annual Food, Fitness and Faith summit at the Bronx Museum of Arts on Monday.
About a hundred community leaders, doctors, health professionals and religious leaders gathered at the summit to help faith leaders seeking to educate their community about living a healthy lifestyle.
The Bronx Multi-Faith Advisory Group and the city Health Department say they will help religious leaders spread healthy eating and fitness activities to their parishioners.
Doctors who spoke at the summit say that faith plays a tremendous role in living a healthy lifestyle.
The Bronx was recently rated the city's most unhealthiest borough.
