A Bronx fashion designer has opened a new store in Port Morris.
Jerome Lamaar grew up in Soundview and has climbed the ranks of the fashion industry. He has been showcasing at New York Fashion Weeks for the past three years.
He recently opened 9J Concept Studio in the South Bronx, which he calls a "gallotique" - a mixture of art fashion and culture.
"I want to use my platform to inspire others," says Lamaar. "I want to bring fashion and manufacturing here to the borough."
